Race Series Format
QUICK START GUIDE
Sloppy Slots Scale Racing & Hobbies host various racing series throughout the year. This section contains the rules and general race-series framework for each series. Specific rules related to each series will be documented within the series’ rules document.
Participation
All competitors must be at least 16 years old. if a competitor younger then 16 has demonstrated the maturity and skill necessary to compete in a racing series the Race Master of the series may make an exception.
Race Format
All races follow the same general format..

Each racer will race once each lane.

Each heat will be 2 to 5 minutes long, for time limited heats

There will be 2-minute break between each heat race. Drivers needing more time to complete repairs on their cars can ask the Race Master of the course for additional time, not to exceed 10 minutes.

When not racing, drivers shall corner marshal.
Points

Points are awarded for most overall laps completed during a race. The driver with the most laps will be awarded 1st place points, the person with second most laps will be awarded the 2nd place points and so on.
Points are awarded as follows

1st: 20 points

2nd: 15 points

3rd: 14 points

4th: 13 points

5th: 12 points

6th: 5 points

7th: 5 points

8th: 5 points

9th: 5 points

10th: 5 points

11th: 2 points

12th: 2 points

13th: 2 points

14th:2 points

15+: 1 point

Cost
-
Races cost listed below do not apply for special events & Iroc races.

Pit Pass – $5.00 the pit pass fee is to cover the track usage during the time between the doors opening and the race.

class/race fee – $10.00 per car.

Open race days (test and tune) $8.00 per hour
Minimum Number of competitors

For a race to be valid, there must be a minimum of 3 racers.

With only 3 competitors each driver will race on his/her own while the two other driver’s marshal.
Marshaling

All racers are expected to corner marshal and or assist the Race Master, unless unable to corner marshal due to physical conditions or age. Marshals are to be treated with respect at all times, failure to do so will result in a warning. The second offence will result in disqualification for the race which the infraction occurred.
Race Master

The racing series manager will act as Race Master, He/She will have the ultimate and final say in any and all disputes.
